We live in a country riddled with political correctness. For simply disagreeing with someone’s opinion, you are painted as a “hater,” “judgmental,” and your opinions are deemed “too extreme.” Well, I’m done caring. Call me what you will, but I will not stand down and silence my opinion: We are at War with ISIS. Go ahead, call me extreme. I’m American Extreme.

Since the first wave of terror reached our shores in 2001, we have fought against radicalism, hatred, bigotry and extremism. And tragically, we have fought against ourselves. I say no more. We must set aside our differences, join together, and battle the true enemy. There are people out there who loathe the way we live, speak, act and practice religion—they hate us and will do everything they can to destroy us. Now is the time to stand together and fight back.

I was once told the greatest quality of the US was her patriotism. Well, it’s time we showed some. Fifty of our own were brutally killed last night—fifty innocent lives taken by an enemy wanting nothing but to sacrifice human liberties on the altar of his hate. I say no more. Not a chance.

American Extremism must rise up; not an extremism which imposes its will, but one fighting to prevent enemies from imposing theirs. We need extreme focus. We need extreme unity. We need extreme leadership—the type that takes seriously the enemy’s centuries-deep hatred. We must fight for our own.

To President Obama and all members of Congress: Declare war on ISIS, and we will see American Extremism take back what the enemy has tried time after time to destroy. Move from defense to offense, believe in what this nation represents, and show the world what America can do.

“My dream is of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.”
-Abraham Lincoln
